Guiding Principles to Share with Client at Termination

  • EMDR is an archeological dig – you can’t get to everything possible in one series of processing sessions
  • When things come up, it doesn’t mean that it didn’t work, it means the client is ready for the next layer
  • The client has come a long way in developing a healthy relationship with self and will know if or when s/he would benefit from more processing
